What Would A Comics Channel Look Like?
In a perfect world, and all the stars were aligned, a comic-themed network would be comprised of everything that the public and comic fans would like and appreciate in a comic network.

The network would have access to live-action and animated series based on comic titles. Mornings could have a mix of animated titles like Super Friends, Spider-Man, X-Men, Batman, The Mask, Tales From The Cryptkeeper, The Tick, Men in Black, and others for the first half of the morning and classic television titles of yesteryear like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Incredible Hulk, Lois and Clark, and Smallville, comic-inspired genre shows like The Greatest American Hero, My Secret Identity, Automan, Misfits of Science, Mutant X , and My Hero, and sentai shows like Masked Rider, Ultraman, and others in the latter half until the middle of the afternoon. A comic-based network would also have access to comic-themed movies to air weekdays and weeknights.

No comic-themed network would be worth its salt without daily comic news and information programs. Get experienced newswriters from the likes of Newsarama and Wizard Universe to create a daily news program every evening with reruns every afternoon as well as craft a live, hour-long series ala The Screen Savers dedicated to everything you want to know about comics, including interviews with creators, tutorials, convention reports, behind the scenes reports of movies, shows, and comics, previews, reviews, and news, all from an unbiased POV. The network would also have shows and documentaries that spotlight creators past and present and characters that have made an impact on the industry, the mainstream, and the indy scene.

Late-nights would be aimed toward older viewers and readers with edgier programming like Tales From The Crypt, Witchblade, Blade: The Series, Duckman, The Tick, and broadcast-friendly anime based on manga titles, subtitled sentai titles as Kamen Rider, and retro shows like Spider-Man, Batman, The Greatest American Hero, and others.

This is the type of programming that would air on a comic-inspired network. But would there be enough support to make it a reality?
