Watch This Space #172 - A Clearer Head 4/4/08 by Jeff Harris
Okay, the shock has gotten out of my system. I think I'm more rational and hinged this week, trying not to be so reactive and passionate this time around. I think I understand what's going on a lot more clearly a week later, so, bear with me, read WTS #172 for a clearer perspective of the situation.
Be on the look out in the coming weeks for a special announcement here at The X Bridge. No spoilers on what the announcement is, but it has nothing to do with Toonami.
Watch This Space #169, #170, and #171 4/4/08 by Jeff Harris
WTS #169 shows off my reaction to yesterday's news.
WTS #170 shows my self-realization and my own failures.
WTS #171 shows my reaction to the overreaction.
The Marvel Superheroes Have Arrived . . . on Nicktoons Network 3/18/08 by Jeff Harris
The two most anticipated Marvel animated series are coming by this time next year. They're not coming to Cartoon Network, but rather Nicktoons Network. Here's the official press release, and here's my response.
Yup, celebration's over and work begins again. .
Happy 11th Toonami.
03/17/08 by Jeff Harris
Eleven years ago today, a better cartoon show debuted.
One year ago, Toonami changed. Not so much for the better.

Official opening of TICA Base
You happy now.
TICA Base is Reopened and Revolution 11 3/2/08 by Jeff Harris
For the first time since the site's remodel back in July, TICA Base, home of the Toonami Inner Circle Alliance is now reopen. Excuse the mess, but in the light of certain events, I felt the need to rush without fully updating every page of the section. The full update is in the weeks to come.
This updates includes the introduction of Revolution 11, the campaign to save Toonami. It's a final fight to save the block from imminent destruction. Within these pages, you'll see what the campaign is all about, the goals we're trying to accomplish, and how we could go about accomplishing them. When I say "final fight," I mean it. If we fail now, there is no turning back. It's a revolution, folks. Are you ready?
Enter: Toonami Fan, Anniversaries, and Call To Arms 2/27/08 by Jeff Harris
Please welcome Toonami Fan to the Toonami Inner Circle Alliance. This site embraces the power of the revolution that is Toonami by giving the people a place to express their voice. After all, the people are what made Toonami TOONAMI, and TICA doesn't want folks to forget that. Show Nick much love and stop by the site. Heck, join the forums there as well.
In case you didn't know, Toonami Fan is the first new TICA member in five years since Absolution Next joined. It'll be five years since that site launched on March 16, so, if I don't get the chance before then, I want to give Cody and Preston much love and respect on ANX's fifth anniversary. March 1 also marks the fifth anniversary of the premiere of Saturday, commonly known through the fan circles as SVES. At the time, I believed SVES was the root of all evil and just created to make Toonami suffer, but over the years, I had newfound respect for the block's creation and overall purpose. It wasn't made to destroy Toonami. It was created to make Toonami survive. For a while, that mission was a success.
However, in 2007, Toonami changed. It was cut in half by the end of the year with half the block now being Naruto. The once-revolutionary block is now seen as a place for anime that isn't Pokemon. Something is wrong with Toonami, and at this rate, we might actually lose Toonami by the end of the year. It's time to fight back.
It's time for a revolution.
A Real Underdog Wins and WTS #165 2/4/08 by Jeff Harris
Congratulations to the New York Giants (and the 757's own Plaxico Burress) for winning the Super Bowl upseting the New England Patriots. I would talk about the game itself, but I don't have the expressed written permission from the No Fun League to do so. But I will talk about how pissed off the NFL's commissioner looked handing the Lombardi trophy the the Giants. Whoo, was he pissed or what? Congrats to the Giants.
I particularly liked that Coca-Cola ad with the Underdog balloon and a Stewie Griffin balloon seemingly fighting each other for a balloon bottle of Coke with a real underdog, good ol' Charlie Brown getting the bottle in the end. Noticed that little black-haired girl in a blue dress with a football in her hand, which was a real touch of class in that ad. It was one of those ads that spoke to many generations. Those familiar with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades throughout the years, those familiar with Underdog (who had a movie last year and still popular to some adults), those familiar with Family Guy's matrocidal infant Stewie, and, of course, fans of Charlie Brown. A great ad, probably one of the best ones from yesterday.
Now, a not-so-great moment. The FCC fined 52 ABC affiliates over a scene of nudity from a show that aired five years ago. It not only illustrated the ridiculousness of the FCC (as if they needed more of a reason to look foolish) but also the lack of an impact the Safe Harbor laws have on this country. What is Safe Harbor? I'll tell you all of that in the latest installment of Watch This Space which is going hot - now.
Oscar Nomination Reaction and WTS #164: Whatever Happened to Jonny and the Girls? 1/23/08 by Jeff Harris
The Simpsons Movie . . . denied! The lust affair with PIXAR continues with the Academy with getting five nominations. A whole lot of snubs this year, from Keri Russell and Denzel Washington to Russell Crowe and Nikki Blonski. Still, it was great to see Juno get nominated for Best Picture, Actress, Director, and Original Screenplay, and those are the ones I'm rooting for the most. Now, if there's actually going to be a show this year. I did notice the producers are now anxious to talk with the writers now all of a sudden.
Looking back at the video I posted, I noticed that a pair of shows seem to be almost gone. The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest and The Powerpuff Girls are all but gone from the public consciousness, the airwaves, and not even in stores. What gives? What's going on? Where are they? Whatever happened to Jonny and the Girls? Watch This Space #164 - going hot.
A Present For You and WTS #163: An Era of Change 1/21/08 by Jeff Harris
It's my birthday.
From now until March 17, here's a present.
Changes are still coming to the X Bridge, but in the meantime, here's another Watch This Space. It kind of echoes what I talked about recently at Thoughtnami. The world of entertainment is about to change, but nobody knows what's going to happen when it does. It's a scary time, but it's also an optimistic one. Watch This Space #163 - now.
WTS #162: The Epiphany - Written 1/07/08 by Jeff Harris
Happy new year.
Major updates coming to the site in the coming weeks.
Major.
No, it's not hyperbole or false promises, but rather news that major updates will be here at The X Bridge.
Not a fancy makeover either. Real content will be added to these pages in the coming weeks.
This is 2008. It happens to be a milestone year for myself and my site. I turn 30 in the coming weeks meaning that I could literally be a parent of the desired demographic for Toonami . . . that is, if I had a kid when I was 21, which I didn't. It also happens to be the tenth anniversary of my site. It's the tenth anniversary of the creation of the site and the fifth anniversary of the TXB branding, but I'm getting ahead of myself. That party won't happen until the summer.
It's the Epiphany, the last day of Christmas. Over the last month or so, I've had an epiphany of sorts. An awakening if you will. I've been trying to interpret what this awakening was in many forms. But today, I'll present this epiphany in the written form. WTS #162 has it in its entirety. This awakening pretty much reflects a lot of what this site will become during the course of this year and the years ahead.
It's a new day and a new year.
