Thankfully, I found friends along the long crazy ride!

Inspired by some rumblings on CybertOOn's message board, the CNX (formerly CN2): Toonami Inner Circle, was born in June 1998, though the backbone of the campaign began in newsgroups by myself much earlier in that year. When the Inner Circle was created, it was just three of us; Skullmnky, who ran the old petition site (it, and the webmaster, haven't been seen nor heard from in over a year), Blkcloak, webmaster of one of the first and one of the greatest (if not the greatest) Toonami webpages out there, Toonami: The Unofficial, and myself, who ran CN2: Toonami Realm, basically a news and info site, not to mention the main site for the Inner Circle campaign for Cartoon Network to create a Toonami-themed channel.

(Now take in consideration that we were petitioning for a Toonami channel around the same time the network was airing promos whether or not they wanted to keep the block on, he certainly had a lot of cajones to do what we did that crazy summer and fall of 1998). 

Originally, the primary objective of campaign was to create a Toonami channel. Since a network is definitely in the planning stages (they said so in October 1999 in an AOL chat), the Circle has ended that petition and campaign and moved on a more worthwhile mission. Concentrate on spreading the good word about the ultra powerful block that we call Toonami! And bring the block to a worldwide audience. Bringing Toonami to the whole world . . . hey, it happen!

The Makeup of the Circle
From Voltron pioneers to famous South Park webmasters to icons in the DBZ and DCU fan communities. Talented artists, writers, web designers, and multimedia masters. From old school cartoon viewers to the next generation of Toonami fans. Not many people could say be affiliated with a crew as awesome as this. Thus, this is perhaps the ultimate (and definite) lineup of webmasters that make up the Inner Circle. Without further adieu, here's the Circle:

CNX: Toonami Revolution (Ran by Jeff Harris aka Nemalki): One of the first Toonami webpages online, a site offering news and opinions in the world of Toonami and action-animation. CNX is also the home of the action-animation magazine Absolution Station with regular features and reviews!  

Toonami: The Unofficial (Ran by Blkcloak): Another one of the first Toonami internet sites, The Unofficial has the privilege that no other Toonami site can have. It was the first to be formally approved by the good folks at Toonami (and definitely not the last). It's down now, but something is in the works even as we speak. 

Toonami: Digital Arsenal (Ran by Tyler L. and Zogg): From the creators of Toonami Miscellanious and Toonami Basement came a great webpage. Together, these two great sources combined their collective sites into a one-stop-spot for everything you need in Toonami multimedia! Promos? Fonts? The maniacal rantings of a mad video capture device? You can find it all at TDA!  

Moltar's Hub (Ran by ToonamiTOM aka CookieS): The homebase of the net's oldest and most popular Toonami chatroom! Insanity doesn't reign here . . . it pours!

Toonami Xperience (Ran by Castle Control and Ashura): Created by the most honored and respected webmasters of the Voltron world and revamped by one of the most creative minds I know comes one of the best Toonami sites out there. Toonami Xperience also has excellent reviews on the latest anime reviews on the planet, concentrating on both ends of the fan spectrum with respect, as well as original video masterpieces that deserve a broadcast home!  

A B S O L U T I O N (Ran by SC): Another Voltron pioneer webmaster, SC has created a virtual library of fan fiction and fanart from the world of Toonami. She has definitely created a great place with A B S O L U T I O N, and it has the potential to go into the stratosphere.

World's Finest (Ran by a fine team of writers): Another ToonZone-hosted webpage, this site is the best source for everything you wanted to know about DC Universe shows like Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, and the upcoming Justice League. A great news site with the latest comic-related news is also found here as well.

We are currently not seeking more members to join the Circle at the moment, but that could always change. The Inner Circle is something you are asked to join. You don't ask us. The circle is filled with the "cream of the crop" of the Toonami and action animation community. If you run a site that really strikes a chord with the fans, then just keep up the great work.
