It's boring.

It was the end of July when I began writing this.

Then came the food poisoning.

And then came the storms.

And more storms.

And more storms.

And that blackout.

And then preparation for a neighborhood back-to-school festival.

And now it's the end of August. And it's STILL boring!

There were a couple of premieres these last two of months, including Cyborg 009 on Toonami (it's a fine show with a great ensemble, but if you miss an episode or two, you might get lost a bit) as well as the return of The Big O to Adult Swim. News has been thin (though I am glad to hear that Zentrix is coming stateside courtesy of Pioneer and not 4Kids). The announcements of Superior Defender's (now SD Gundam) premiere on Toonami and the fourth (third?) season of Dragonball in September were expected. This month's quartet of premieres on Adult Swim (the awesome as hell Big O season 2, the freaky-as-hell FLCL, Blue Gender [which is getting good, but I don't appreciate those guys calling Roughnecks "wack" in the cards] and this week's Inu Yasha Season 2) and the premiere of Duck Dodgers are worth watching.

Saint Saiya, the most popular anime series you never heard of in the US, is premiering this weekend on Cartoon Network while over on the Fox Box, they have a sneak preview of Shonen Jump's Shaman King (one of the better titles in the manga anthology [not that any of them are bad]) before it officially premieres, um, next weekend (shrugs shoulders).

For an action-animation-oriented site like The Bridge, July and August were pretty boring. Yeah, we cover comics news and all and San Diego Comic Con and Wizard World Chicago occured, but since I'm dirt poor and couldn't cover them in person (plus LivingFruitVirus, Newsarama, and The Pulse all covered the event excellently), I won't talk about the events and announcements made there much. Afterall, what's past is prologue.

It's fricken boring.

So, what have I been doing. Working hard on articles and reviews. I have a lot of them, but it's going to take time to put them all up there. Trust me, they'll be there very soon.

Gotta go for now. Need to write my friends at Cartoon Network and explain why Roughnecks isn't wack.

End Transmission:
