| WATCH THIS SPACE #120: Introduction to The Action-Animation Voice |
|
Do you bookmark this page?
Do you check this page to make sure that I write something every so often? Do you look at this page hoping to find a link to a gem of an article or an opinion about that action block called Toonami (I would, but I already have a Toonami section elsewhere on the site to do that)? This ain't that kind of party. And that's not what Watch This Space is about. What Watch This Space is about is to get you thinking. Thinking about what, you may ask? I want you to Watch This Space and find yourself immersed in a new way of thinking. A thinking that makes you wonder what's going on, why it's going on, who makes and breaks the rules, and who does and doesn't give a damn. It's a new way of thinking. It's a revolutionary attitude that I want to embrace within the confines of this site. And I don't want to insult anybody's intelligence to do that. You guys and gals are smarter than that. Most people tend to conform to stigmas and fanbases, notions about what's good and what's bad without seeing it all. You're either old-school or new-school, an snobby otaku or a die-hard American afficionado, subbie or dubbie, a DC fanboy or a Marvel zombie, a fantasy fangirl or a mechahead. People get tied down to labels and, as a result, miss out on a lot. I want people to come in here with an open mind willing to take a look at all forms of action-animation without a prejudiced eye. That's what I do here at The X Bridge, and that's what I plan on doing here at TXB Magazine, which will feature action-animation in all its forms. I'm not trying to change anybody's minds, but if I open your eyes to something new, I think I'll be pleased. I'm not trying to preach either. I'm a fan that wants to spread his love of action-animation to everybody that wants to receive it. That's why I've revamped The X Bridge by introducing a number of subsections. That's why I changed the purpose of Watch This Space. Forget what you know, because this is a new beginning. Don't bookmark this page. I might change the link on a whim one day. Come on in through the front page. You might miss something if you don't. In the meantime, watch this space. I think you're going to like what you'll see around these parts. *end tranmission*
