(GREETINGS FROM THE FUTURE: Howdy. Why is a three-years older version of myself spending time opening up this older article? Well, to be honest, this was virtually a non-update, just a status report in a time when I didn't have Bridgecenter on the front page. So, to tell you what I was thinking here, it's just that I was having a period of writer's block on a new section called The Bridge. I've been working hard on The Bridge for some months now. The Bridge, in case you're just joining the program, is a section dedicated to comic, action-animation, and anime articles and opinions. It's pretty much CNX with a strong journalistic approach to things outside of Toonami. Much of the reason for the delay is because, um, I'm having problems thinking of story ideas.
When you're a one-man operation like this site is, you tend to burn the candle at both ends. I could only churn out enough story ideas so often. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of story ideas so far (from an analysis of the comic and manga publishers to in-depth stories on comics, shows and movies dedicated to the stuff we like such as a commentary about the Ultimate Marvel Universe), but I need some ideas. I have a whole lot of stories swirling around my head, but I need to figure out exactly which ones are worth writing. I just don't want to be inundated with a whole mess of anime-oriented stories, which isn't so bad, but I don't want it to be just anime because I don't think I could have fun with it if it was.
So, contact me via e-mail (NOT THE BOARD) with any potential story ideas, and hopefully, I'll write a couple of them out as soon as I can properly research them. I guess I could publish what I got so far. Just give me a week, and I'll totally unleash The Bridge.
