I will be the first to admit this in the United States.
Zentrix will be the next ReBoot.
Zentrix will do for anime what ReBoot did for western animation, and considering the impact that ReBoot had in North America, that's saying a lot.
What is Zentrix?
Think The Matrix mixed with ReBoot in a fantasy world that is a lot like our own.
Just as the case in the world of The Matrix, technology has taken over the Earth. Robots rule the human race, and they are controlled by Omicron, a central computer which was originally created by Emperor Jarad of Zentrix City, who built the computer in the first place. Jarad's only child, Princess Megan, goes back seven years in the past to prevent Omicron's coup, which could save the planet. However, this very unlady-like princess reverts to a body of an eight-year old child. Omicron sends many assassins after Megan, but with the help of her father, a boy named Nick, and a huge Zentroid robot named Zeus, she manages to engage in many adventures. However, Omicron has plans of his own involving another Zentroid who's just as powerful as Zeus, Quantum.
From Imagi and M6, Zentrix is already in the can with 26 episodes completed. It premiered in France in a test run before making it's first full run in Japan earlier this year, and by all accounts, it's pretty exciting. It has everything you can ask for. Comedy. Drama. Action. Fantasy. And big honking robots. This series could do for Asian animation what ReBoot did Stateside . . . present computer-animation in a digestable, fun-filled television series.
Looks like fun, and nobody has snagged it Stateside (yet).
