As I Was Saying – Page 3

The Future of TXB

I wanted to address the state of the site.

It’s going to be fully back some time in 2026.

The reason why I’m going with a 2026 return is because I don’t want to half-ass what I do here. I want to bring you a better animation news and opinion site. If anything, I want TXB to be a site where I can present well thought-out opinions about animated topics I want to talk about on my own time.

Should I create a paid option?

I just need to figure out a way to modernize and monetize this site Yes, I want to find a way to create some kind of income with this site when I fully relaunch it. I know some people resent paying for anything these days, especially online commentary.

At least that’s what people told me long ago when I dared to ask was my words worth paying for. After being told repeatedly they weren’t, that was one of the main reasons why I walked away. It was that disheartening and soul-crushing that so many felt my words were worthless and meaningless.

I’ll never turn TXB into a paywalled site. I just want to give folks something worth paying for, and when I realize what that will be, that’s when I’ll introduce it and fully relaunch the site.

Another thing I want to talk about is what I don’t want TXB to become:

TXB is NOT a Toonami site

I know I don’t want it to be solely a Toonami site. I’ve been having qualms about that block within a block on a dying channel for a while now. Don’t get me wrong, I still love what the block once was as well as the legacy it had created. That said, I don’t want TXB to just be limited to a block that might not be here in five years.

Been there, done that a long time ago. I feel what I did in the years when Toonami WASN’T on the air were some of the best things I’ve made for TXB. No longer bound to cover a cable block, I could do a lot more.

I know I did a lot of those kinds of things when I relaunched Thoughtnami, but I want to do them in an outlet I own and control outright.

TXB is Creator-Owned

Social media is limiting, and it could change just like that. Just look at the site formerly known as Twitter and the reason I’m so reluctant to call my site by its full name of The X Bridge.

I am on BlueSky, but as I said, social media is limiting. I think every creator should create their own webpage. Since regaining access to my site after all these years, I’m not in any rush to just give it up any time soon. I’m just trying to figure out what to do with it.

The future is uncertain

Nothing is guaranteed. But when TXB returns in full in 2026, it’s going to be the best version of the site I could make. And if it’s not, well, I’ll work to make it better.

I just know that there is a future for TXB, and I want to regain your trust. I appreciate your patient with me over these years. And if the fates allow, the next update you’ll see here will be the first day of the new TXB.

The Revolution will be digitized. Until we are one, later.

And keep creating.
