Okay, that’s the short answer.<\/p>\n

Here’s the lengthy answer:<\/p>\n

When it comes to the internet, there’s a kind of unwritten law that allows people to be an utter prat online, say and do things they wouldn’t do under the guise of anonymity.<\/p>\n

I tend to be an open individual online. I’m an open book and not afraid to tell people about myself. I’d like to think I deserve some kind of respect in my own house, and TXB, for lack of a better term, is my online home. You don’t spit in the face of the homeowner if you’re a guest, and you don’t crap in his yard. I don’t need that kind of disrespect.<\/p>\n

That’s not to say I don’t like healthy debate. Goodness knows, if you have a point and want to directly and respectfully disagree with me and want a public discussion without ranting AT me, take it to Bluesky<\/a>. We could chat there.<\/p>\n

Or, you know, if you want to write something directly disagreeing with me, make a blog post or something on your own site. Too many folks use other people’s pages as their own personal soapbox just to disagree with the person ALL THE TIME and trying to build this image of being an utter ass and creating a cult-of-personality vibe building up a following on a site they, more or less, don’t really like.<\/p>\n

I don’t need that. This isn’t a forum. Comments sections are such an antiquity in this era of YouTube and social media and tend to bring out the worst in people.<\/p>\n
