Animation. That's All.Animation should be a self-contained unit in the scheme of Time Warner.

There is Warner Bros. Entertainment, Turner Broadcasting, HBO Inc., Time Inc., and AOL. I'm only focusing on Warner Bros. Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting. Both units are large, disconnected units with little to no contact with one another. There is Warner Bros. Animation, Hanna-Barbera, and DC Comics at WBE and Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network Studios, Williams Street Productions, and Turner Entertainment on the Turner side. If I had my way, all these units would be united as one separate unit independent from Warner Bros. Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting to become an animation company, based on both coasts, co-existing with one another and united to celebrate the spirit of animation.

That company, built from the inner-company merger of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Productions, is Warner Cartoon Group.

The company would be only be subdivided geographically. WCG West would be based in Los Angeles, California and while WCG East would be based in Atlanta, Georgia. Neither would be connected to Warner Bros. Entertainment nor Turner Broadcasting as they are independent entities within the Time Warner business structure not unlike Walt Disney Animation Studios.

Warner Cartoon Group's primary functions are to develop, produce, license, and broadcast animated productions for traditional and new media outlets. WCG is the owner of the combined animation libraries of Warner Bros. Animation, Hanna-Barbera Productions, Cartoon Network Studios, Williams Street Productions, and the Turner-owned MGM/Fleischer shorts (now called WCG Legacy Holdings). The unit also has a 50% stake in the Kids' WB programming block on The CW as well as minor stake in DC Comics, owners of Superman, Batman, Teen Titans, and other properties whose animated productions are produced at WCG. The East Coast operations manage and operate Cartoon Network and a relocated Cartoon Network Studios, a new facility where Williams Street Productions also produces their animated productions. The West Coast operations manages and operates Warner Bros. Animation, WCG Legacy, and the Boomerang classic animation channel.

More details to come about Warner Cartoon Group in Cartoon Network's Scratchbuilding article.

Now, to actually rebuild WCG's Boomerang, you need to build a foundation.
